The Nike ACG Air Mowabb OG “Rattan Birch 2021â€?is a modern reissue of the classic outdoors sneaker designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1991. Celebrating the Air Mowabb OG's 30th anniversary. the “Rattan Birchâ€?is an original colorway of the shoe that was re-released in September 2021. Several modifications were made to the modern version of the “Rittan Birch.â€?including a Huarache tongue tag and dual pull tabs for easy on/off access. Moreover. Nike touts the modern “Rattan Birch'sâ€?stretchier collar and softer foam midsole as modern enhancements. Design wise. much of the shoe retains its original look. including a molded heel counter and a neoprene inner bootie. Perforations on either side of the beige mid-panel provide airflow to the wearer's foot. Old school “ACGâ€?branding is embroidered on the collar. An embroidered mini Swoosh is also added to the toe on the 2021 re-release. Underfoot. a speckled midsole and lugged rubber outsole with '90s-style “Air Mowabbâ€?complete the design.
