The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low “University Goldâ€?is a positively blinding colorway of Nike's retro basketball and lifestyle shoe created in collaboration with Off-White and Virgil Abloh. Synchronizing with the opening of Abloh's “Figures of Speechâ€?exhibit at Boston's Institute of Contemporary Art in Summer 2021. the Off-White-designed “University Goldâ€?colorway features a predominately monochromatic yellow construction. The perforated toe. mid-panel. collar. and heel are all dressed in University Gold leather. Contrast stitching borders the metallic silver Swoosh logo found on either side of the shoe and tonal “Nike Airâ€?embroidery appears on the heel. In signature Off-White fashion. the Air Force 1's nylon tongue tag has been repositioned to the side of the University Gold nylon tongue for an abstract. “do-it-yourselfâ€?look. A yellow plastic zip-tie hangs from the tonal laces. Black “Airâ€?text is printed above tonal “Airâ€?branding on the lateral side of the University Gold-colored rubber midsole.
