The Nike Air Max 1 '86 "Obsidian" is an original colorway of the retro performance running shoe modeled after the 1986 version of the model. The Air Max 1 '86 is based on the first iteration of the Air Max 1 that was in production in 1986 before the model debuted in 1987 with a slightly smaller visible Air unit. This “Obsidianâ€?edition was among the original colorways of the Air Max 1 that released in '87. The modern interpretation of the colorway features a white mesh base with light grey felt overlays. An Obsidian-colored felt Swoosh and mudguard contrast the upper's neutral appearance. Red “Nike Airâ€?branding is embroidered on the heel while classic “Nike Air Maxâ€?detailing is found on the tongue tag.
