The Social Status x Nike Air Max Penny 2 “Blackâ€?is a collaboration by the sneaker and streetwear boutique on Anfernee “Pennyâ€?Hardaway's second signature shoe. The successor to Social Status and Nike's Air Max Penny 1 from July 2022. the co-designed Air Max Penny 2 debuted in two standout colorways. the “Sailâ€?and this “Blackâ€?style. The “Blackâ€?features a color block reminiscent of the original “Orlandoâ€?Air Max Penny 2 from 1996. The retro basketball shoe features a black synthetic nubuck upper contrasted with blue accents and an oversized white foam midsole. Dual Social Status and Swoosh branding is found on a reflective pod on the lateral side of the collar. Penny's signature â€?-Centâ€?logo appears on the tongue. The shoe rides on a foam midsole with Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot and visible Max Air in the heel. Special packaging inspired by 'Lil Penny. the mascot voiced by Chris Rock who appeared in popular commercials alongside Penny Hardaway. completes the look. Release date: October 13. 2022
